As one of our Sunday outings from Rishikesh Yog Peeth in northern India, we took a drive along the Ganges to start a green uphill hike to the beautiful Patna Waterfall. The hike didn’t take longer than 2 hours, return. However, it was quite steep at times.

If you’re hiking in the rainy season, don’t forget your raincoat! Wear comfortable, cool walking clothing with sturdy shoes and to remember the essentials.

- Sun-cream
- Snacks
EAT
There’s a little al fresco shop/cafe near the waterfall in case you need a bite to eat or a sip to drink. Lunch and chai was provided for us by the Peeth. You can get directions to the start of the hike here. I imagine in the rainy season, the waterfall is even more magnificent
