Camping in Italy

From Menton it was about a 5 hour drive to our campsite in Italy. Camping Village San Giusto was quite rural, which we loved. It was situated between Pisa and Florence, and directly above Sienna. We chose this location as a central base from which to explore those areas.

The campsite was quiet and had good and clean facilities, including electricity. At the campsite there is a shop with essentials and a restaurant selling local food. Located on the top of a hill, it does take some time to get to the village below via car to start day trips. Empoli is the closest station to drive to if you’d like to take a train into Florence. There are also a few scenic walks with views of the valleys below that you can take directly from the campsite. If you venture out in the late evening, you’ll get to catch the sun dipping low over the countryside and some bunnies hopping around.
