Tazacorte, La Palma

When the sun starts to near the horizon in the late afternoon, making your way to the west of La Palma for sunset is definitely a great idea. To watch the sun set from a height, go to Tazacorte town and grab a drink from a local cafe to enjoy outside. The town also has a SuperDino which is useful if you’re staying at a self-catering place and need some eggs for breakfast, or are planning on a sunset picnic.

The port of Tazacorte, Puerto Tazacorte, is a fantastic spot for sun-downers after a day of island exploring. Enjoy the view from one of the few restaurants along the small beachfront that offer tasty local food or from the black sand beach, with an ice cream in hand. If you’re a cat-lover, keep an eye out for the cats!
