Notre Dame de Paris, Île Saint-Louis

As you’d expect. the queue was really long getting to visit the inside of Notre Dame de Paris but didn’t take a long time. What you might not expect, is that visiting the church is free! Standing outdoors waiting for our turn gave us plenty of time to enjoy the outside view of the church. There was a man that was selling biscuits to impatient children and helping them to hold their hands out in the right way to feed the birds. I think I much preferred the idea of feeding the sparrows in the Jardin De Luxembourg myself.

Going inside there was still a queue of sorts that we just had to stay in it until we were out of the church again, at the other door. It was a quick look and it didn’t really feel like we could take our time to explore this famous space, but it was nice to be able to admire the church from the outside again from a nearby park and from Île Saint-Louis.
