Alchemy (/ˈalkɪmi/): a seemingly magical process of transformation, creation, or combination.
Just south of the Grand Parade, on the south side of the Lee, you’ll spot The Flying Enterprise. That establishment leads up to Barrack Street. The street itself is rich with a kind of exciting derelict feel (you never know what you could discover down there) and if you follow the street it you might end up at the Lough with the swans. That’s where I was going when I walked past Alchemy and decided to pop in for a coffee. It’s really cosy and quirky inside with plenty to choose from in terms of eats and drinks. I was treated to a cappuccino and a delicious piece of courgette cake! The great thing about courgette cake is that you get to indulge whilst pretending that you’re healthy at the same time.
