Brunch at the Peregrine Café

A while back on the way to Hermanus, we stopped at the Peregrine Farm Stall in Elgin (Western Cape) and grabbed a brunch at the café. Every-time I go in there I do a tour of all the local produce, weird preserves and fresh bakes at that farm stall. It’s really difficult to leave without quince jelly and loads of koeksisters.

The café is fairly newly done-up and really nice and cosy inside (it was a rainy day & it was pretty much Irish weather!). It’s so popular I think, that we were just lucky not to have to stand in a queue! I think it should be a tradition to stop over here whenever you’re on the N2 heading east.
